✨ Meet Sarah ✨

Hello,

My name is Sarah and I am a Southport-based therapist offering online therapy to adults (18+). I have worked within healthcare for 12 years, qualifying in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for eating disorders (BABCP level 1 accredited course) at the start of the year. I have developed my skills as a therapist over the past 4 years working within the NHS. I am currently in the process of applying for accreditation and I am fully DBS checked.

In my CBT training, I have developed skills to support

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Difficulties regulating emotions
  • Self esteem
  • Perfectionism
  • Difficulties communicating to others
  • Eating disorders*

I am trained in Dialetical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills and counselling skills. I also adapt my practice to support clients who are neurodivergent and I provide a safe space to the LGBTQ+ community.

I understand how difficult mental health difficulties can be, and how we can sometimes feel stuck. I offer a safe, non judgmental space for you to explore you difficulties and understand them more, hoping to build on skills to help support your mental health. I am an active listener and I offer an empathetic person-centered approach.

Asking and looking for help can feel quite scary and daunting, that is a big step in itself and you're doing really well. If you have been struggling with your mental health and would like to explore therapy options, please get in contact to book in a free 30 minute consultation.

At Phoenix therapies, we are not a crisis service. If you feel you need urgent support for your mental health or you are unable to keep yourself safe, please attend your local A&E, call 111 and press 2 or call Samaritans on 116 123.

*I unfortunately will not be able to offer support for eating disorders at this time. If this is something you feel you may be struggling with, please speak to you GP. There is also the BEAT website for further information https://www.beateatingdisorders.org.uk/
